To Anthony,
Every parent knows how difficult it can be when the Child
Carer Centre recommends your child to be assessed for negative
behaviour problems and suggests it may be due to the lack of
hearing.
This is just the beginning of many months of Doctors and Specialist
appointments, plus the time, energy and expenses to attend
to all the appointments. The final assessment recommendation
leads to: "We believe your child may have a build up of
Ear Wax in the Eustachian tube or Glue Ear and recommend your
child to see an Ears, Nose and Throat Surgeon for grommets."
After waiting 6-12 months to see the Ears, Nose and Throat
Surgeon, it took a whole 10 minutes for the doctor to say: "There
is no more wax build up and does not require grommets, therefore
I would recommend to maintain a sensible ear cleaning process,
and if you are still having problems after 3 months please
do not hesitate to call and make another appointment." Upon
leaving, and paying the bill of $160.00 which Medicare only
refunds $60.00. I left the Surgeon's rooms, feeling rather
upset and angry.
A few days later, I was talking to my work colleagues about
what the Surgeon had told me, they mentioned that Anthony Kilner
performs Ear Candling, which may be an alternate solution to
treating my son's ears.
Not knowing anything about the process of Ear Candling, I
spoke to Anthony about my son's ears and negative behaviour.
He explained the process of Ear Candling in very simple terms,
and was able to relate to my concerns, as he has three children
of his own.
When it came to the first appointment, Anthony was very reassuring
and related to my 5-year-old son extremely well. Anthony
set the scene in the room with relaxing instrumental music.
He looked in my son's ears and assured me that the Ear Wax
had NOT gone away.
Anthony communicated with my son at many different levels,
which made him feel comfortable, relaxed through both verbal
and non-verbal communication. Anthony explained to my son in
simple terms, what he was about to do. It was the stillest
I have seen my son for a very long time, he was so relaxed
by the facial massage, he was falling asleep. I was truly amazed
at the amount of wax that came out of my son's ears.
At the same time, Anthony spoke to me in regards to my son's
behaviour both at home and at the Child Care Centre. He gave
me helpful suggestions to turn around the negative behaviour
to positive behaviour. These suggestions made a big difference
to both my sons aged 7 & 5 years.
Once the hour appointment was over, we said good-bye. On
the way home my son said "My ears feel better now mum,
can I see Anthony again tomorrow?" Due to the quantity
of wax that was in my son's ears, we had a number of ongoing
appointments.
I have already recommended Anthony to other members of my
family, and I would highly recommend this treatment to anyone
of all ages who has any difficulty with their ears and hearing.
Anthony has an amazing connection with people of all ages.
He has helped my family and I improve our well being physically,
spiritually and mentally.
